New Years Project

Well, one year later, the backsplash is really complete. If you'll remember, we stopped halfway up the wall..which was really dumb...but we were at a standstill not knowing how to deal with the outlets.
BEFORE:

Well, I found a perfect mosaic glass tile at Home Depot, it came in big squares and we just cut it into 4 strips. I love the colors, it blends in all the elements of the kitchen- dark brown cabinets, lighter tan of the subway tile, and I love the touch of aqua--just added that somethin' somethin'.

Here it is:

  3. I love the mix of subway tile with the mosaic tile. Also, I saw your post about ceramic cooktop cleaning, and have you tried Barkeeper's Friend? It's super cheap and it's sold with the cleaning supplies. It's a powder mix that you rub on with a damp cloth and it works wonders for cleaning ceramic cooktops. I just found your blog through Thrifty Decor Chic, and I'm your newest follower :)
