Organizational Progress....

Here I posted about how out of control my clutter was getting.

Here's a few before and afters---several more areas to go!
Ugh--office supplies Before:
 And After:

I moved this entire set-up out--this is my Living Room--the computer went to the  kitchen desk, and here's what is in that Living Room space now:

(Un) Control Center Before:
 After, ahhhh:
Lazy susan cabinet Before:
 And After:
Area next to sink Before:
And, After:
Each of these projects took no longer than 15 minutes to complete. I find staying organized is a commitment, you need to do a little something every day to keep it under control.
My Rules for living (almost) clutter-free:
If you buy something, donate a like item you already have
Don't keep something if you don't LOVE it
ALWAYS have a "donation station"--an area in your home or garage accessible to all that corrals things to be donated--when full, call them for pickup.
Don't accept hand me downs unless you LOVE it and can USE it
Make it a Great (more organized) Day!

Major Organizational ReHaul Needed!

Here's some extremely embarrassing photos of what lies beneath.... my cupboards, my closets, and my drawers...ugh! I am committing to tackle at least 1 area per day until I get some must-needed control over the clutter. You KNOW its bad when you have to RE-Purchase the tape because you can not find where you put the rolls you bought last week...mkay:
Do I really need 2 fruit bowls??

OK, its not bad in the photo--but medicine should go in the bathroom, right? Its taking over the cupboard and I don't know whats in there anymore...

ugh...extract mixed with stove cleaner mixed with medicine--no likey!

My lazy susan's top collapsed so I need to removed everything and start over. Someone tell me to finally GET RID of those giant plastic cups!

UGH!

actually, not bad for "under sink" but still...could be better--somehow this area always
looks messy because of the ucky pipe.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bookcase-chaos

This is our "wine closet"...ugh---so bad!

so much wasted space in there--

I really hate hall closets that look like this--ridiculous...lookit all those lampshades for pete's sake what am I thinking keeping all those?

Bane of our existence--the 3 car garage that can't even fit one car in it...

Yup, that is a COUCH on its side. I know.

This is where my "sewing room" is. Somewhere under all that.

I will risk decapitation if I try to get to one of those lower bins, gosh forbid.

5 person household= about a bajillion pairs of shoes.

This really needs to go somewhere else.

This is located in my living room, and its gotta move. Now.

Island of misfit crap.

Make it a Great Day! Go organize something! :)

Fridge: Organized

This is what I accomplished today:
I actually put all my mustards next to each other on the same shelf...:)

Made the top shelf higher to make room to stand up the Perrier bottles

Room for my Ginormous jar of Jalapenos...and more bottled waters under the deli drawer too!
No, I did not take a "before" since this was a spur of the moment organization...you know when you open the fridge/closet/cabinet and say: I Can't Take This One Stinkin' Minute Longer! -type of deal.... Took about 20 minutes, washed all the bins and shelves.

Make it a Great Day!

Easy 99cents cabinet organizer for cookie sheets

I was wandering around the 99 cent store and found these plastic coated racks, for plates I think. I had been using a cardboard box as a stand-up organizer for my cookie sheets and cooling racks, and obviously that wasn't cutting it. I had envisioned drilling holes in the cabinet and adding dowels...but that would have to wait until hubs went away for a business trip...

Sooo, although I thought my pans would be too heavy I gave it a whirl, and Ta Da! No tools, just popped it in and now its organized, I can see all my sheets, and easy to access. LOVIN it!

I think I'll get more for all my trays and platters too! Thanks for stoppin' by!!
